HPCNA professional board

Medical and Dental Board of Namibia

Governs and oversees the medical and dental professions, sets standards for education, conduct and practice, and works to protect the health and safety of patients by ensuring practitioners meet the required qualifications, skills and ethical standards.

Who it registers

  • Medical practitioners
  • Dental practitioners

Check that a practitioner is registered

Open the Medical and Dental Board e-register on the HPCNA website and look up the practitioner by name or registration number. It shows their registration number, name, town, region, category, status and registration date. Check that the status is active and the category matches the service they offer.

Concerns and complaints

Complaints about a registered practitioner’s conduct must be in writing, addressed to the Registrar of the relevant board, and signed, with the practitioner’s name if known, where and when it happened, and your contact details. The HPCNA does not award compensation, and conduct by someone who is not registered should be reported to the Namibian Police.

For professionals

Registration requirements and forms are on the board’s page on the HPCNA website.

A listing on Nam Medical Pages does not mean the practitioner’s registration has been checked. Use the e-register to confirm it.
