HPCNA professional board

Allied Health Professions Board of Namibia

Oversees and governs the practice of allied health professions, and protects the public by ensuring allied health professionals meet the required standards, through registration, regulation and licensing.

Who it registers

  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Speech therapists
  • Medical laboratory technologists
  • Radiographers
  • Dietitians
  • Prosthetists and orthotists
  • Other allied health professions

Check that a practitioner is registered

Open the Allied Health Professions Board e-register on the HPCNA website and look up the practitioner by name or registration number. Check that the status is active and the category matches the service they offer.

Concerns and complaints

Complaints about a registered practitioner’s conduct must be in writing, addressed to the Registrar of the relevant board, and signed, with the practitioner’s name if known, where and when it happened, and your contact details. The HPCNA does not award compensation, and conduct by someone who is not registered should be reported to the Namibian Police.

For professionals

Registration requirements and forms are on the board’s page on the HPCNA website.

Find these providers on Nam Medical Pages

A listing on Nam Medical Pages does not mean the practitioner’s registration has been checked. Use the e-register to confirm it.
